First Time Skating

Jie Jie has been telling Lil Princess how interesting to skate and it takes two to get Daddy agree to skate with them. We arrived Sunway Pyramid early to beat the congested car park. Lil princess was excited and once adorned with skate, she immediate stand up and started to walk.

Since both the girls don’t know how to skate, we rented a ‘bobby” for Mei Mei. It was good with the bobby initially, until Mei Mei learnt to let go.

Lil princess was quite brave and willing to try to let go the side rail. They had a great 2 hours in thr rink until it’s time to clean the rink.

That was time for lunch as well. Brought the girla to Canton-i and had a great lunch of lotus peanut soup, spare ribs and seafood tofu. Luckily the tastebwas acceptable especially for Jie Jie. Lil princess has her fair share of soup, rice and a fair pieces of spare ribs.

With the excuse of having a walk after meal, the girls strolled around Sunway Pyramid. FortunEly, Christmas decor was not down yet and the girls got their rainbow candy floss.

Since we were already in Subang area, might as well, pack some Mei Mei’s facourite croissant that comes in different flavours.

Pierced Ears

Growing up with Mei Mei is a demanding journey. Being a curious child, Mei Mei also wondered and never hesitate to on nee things. Recently on the list - piercing her ears! She has been out exploring and get info from friends how was their experience in piercing.

The verdict, some have painful experience while most of them, not-so-painful experience. As recommended we reached Poh Kong but  Mei Mei was quite panicky now. Thanks to the staff at Poh Kong, who did the piercing of ear at one go, the experience was a memorable one.

To reward my baby for not crying, she got ice cream of the day. But of course, we can’t stop her from looking in the mirror though.

Mooncake Festival

Haze or no haze, the celebration will go on. That’s the annual mooncake festival in the girls school. As a vernecular school, promoting chinese culture has been in the blood.

We were welcomed by the food stalls selling sushi, char kuey teow, BBQ, satay and other delicacies. The girls chose satay, BBQ meat, sushi (for Mei Mei) and iced longan water to quench thirst and reduce heat.

Later we proceed to the cooling hall for performance. Though sitting on the floor, we enjoyed the performance in compliment by the cooling aircon

Finally, the air balloon symbolizes  kong ming lantern that make wishes come true was let in the air accompanied by dragon dance.

Following, the same dragon led the lantern parade. The girls, seldom have the chance to join the parade, the girls never let go and quickly followed the parade.

Penang Trip for a Wedding

It has been awhile we celebrated wedding outstation, some more of a close relative. We were thrilled when my cousin Vince announced his wedding plan in July and since then we have been make plans without the girls knowledge ( to avoid any overexcitement).

I’m pretty sure the girls has sensed something when we started to buy the new dresses, preparing souvenirs and packing. Finally, on 29 August the girls were filled with excitement when we told them that the very next morning we will journey out to Penang. Hmm.... isn’t this is more fun?

At 6am sharp, 2 cars ( my brother and we) were geared up for the journey. It took us 5 hours to reach Uncle John’s house and thanks to uncle’s hospitality we had a great feast of curry chicken, stewed pork, herbal stewed chicken feet, stir fry spinanch and smoked pork. Even Mei Mei had a second serving.

We spent a good whole 2 hours to exchange news and head to Uncle Paul’s residence (bridegroom’s father) to get the key to our homestay.

It has been a long day and what’s more to add to the plate- strong WIFI signal in the homestay! After a local delicacy dinner at the foodcourt, we called it a day. Can’t wait for the activities for tommorrow.
Our breakfast

The beginning of Day 2:
Since we have visited Penang recently, we wanted this wedding trip to be more easy and relaxing. We have missed the Kek Lo Si Temple the last trip so this is a MUST  destination.

The girls never bored to cross Penang Island via ferry. The girls never feel boted with this 15 minutes trip.
Ferry Ride

Soon, from the car park, Kek Lok Si, stand solid  on the mountain above us. Expecting to show the girls the path up with souvenirs shops line up at the 2 sides of the path, has been demolished and replaced by inclined lift. Sadly, i have to accept that technology is eating into our lives deeper.

While waiting for the inclined lifts, surprisingly the girls were seated quietly. Guess the weather has not been kind to us. Eventhough we were indoor. We felt the heat creeping into our body and eating up our energy.

Cut the story short, we reached to the top and instantly looked for the pagoda which Mei Mei was not quite keen. Instead she choose her seating place among the flowers and under the shed and starts to take pictures.

As the weather was too hot, the girls looked tired and dehydrated, we decided to head back to our homestay to rest since we are attending Uncle Vince’s bachelor night dinner.

Day 3: The Wedding
Before attending the Chinese tea ceremony, we visited St Anne’s church for a short prayer and some photo taking. Today our schedule is tied up with the wedding therefore had brought along colouring material that Yi Po had as presents to the girls.

Instantly, we rushed to church for solemnasation ceremony and next back to homestay for wedding dinner preparation. Anyhow, mommy and Daddy still have time to venture out for a tea break of rojak celup and laksa.

Lil Princess loved going new places to explore be it food entertainment or even new shopping mall. This time, we bought her to mamak styled restuarant - Murni Discovery, which is famous with reasonable pricing with big portion of food.

We ordered grilled salmon for our lil princess and she finished 3/4 herself. Jie Jie on the other hand, stickes to her all time favourite Indomie. Nevetheleas, Jie Jie finished the whole plate by herself.

Unique Dinner

Daddy is very much into healthy food, so tonight we are heading to Mama Kim. The place was calm and quiet though we needed to queue a bit.

Lil princess was happy to settle with her kids spaghetti. Tossed in tomato paster, and garnished with grapes and purple dragon fruit. Lil princess loved it!

As daddy ordered sauna mee, lil princess helped herself to the fish and soup after her spaghetti meal.

Jalan-jaln 2019 - Paradigm Mall

It's not very often I have off days on weekends, so when there is, we'll try to bring the girls out. This time - Paradigm Mall. The girls have fun in the indoor park riding their scooter and playing ting-ting.

Last but not least, chocolate indulgence where my lil princess has been asking for - chocolate fountain. Though there isn't any fountain but lil Princess was OK with chocolate dip instead. Dipping marshmallow and strawberries, lil princess had a great time!

Cuti-cuti Malaysia - Sekinchan

" A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step"

A proverb that makes us to start travelling locally before venturing out. This time round, our destination - SEKINCHAN. A fishing village in the beginning, extended into paddy plantation has in the few years, make the place a popular tourist attraction.

After a fulfilling dim sum breakfast, we headed to Sekinchan and the beginning of our 2 days trip.

DAY 1:
Pulai Redang
Our first destination to avoid being burnt by the sun if we reached later. The girls became cheerful when they were allowed to play bubbles.

Chan Po Tion Restaurant
Since we were hungry, so we looked for the nearest restaurant for lunch. The girls were hungry and gulped down the ginger pork and rice.

Ah Ma House
After lunch, we needed to stretch our legs so Ah Ma House we go. A place that was decorated with the 1880's style, you'll find tins of biscuits, old tiffins and wooden tables and benches. After getting some coffee and herbal tea for the girls to quenched their thirst, we headed to the next destination.

Paddy Gallery
5 minutes drive from Ah Ma House, is the Paddy Gallery. After a briefing on how paddy was planted till harvest, the girls enjoyed looking at the display and pictures showing the life of a farmer. We bought some food and headed to hotel to check in.

A+ Boutique Hotel
Lil Princess was stunted by the decoration in the hotel From transportation in the olden days to an English garden feel at the attic garden.

Bagan Restaurant
It started to drizzle when the girls were playing at the garden. Worried of heavy rain, we instantly drove to our restaurant for dinner. Still, we had to wait for 45 minutes for our dinner. The rain was getting heavier outside and the crowd of people build up. Lucky we were here early.

By the time we reached the hotel, the girls were exhausted. So, after a warm bath, the girls settled for their favourite show 'Britain has talent', accompanied by hot cup as supper. What an interesting day!

DAY 2:
After breakfast, the girls requested to have a last bubble blowing session at Pulau Redang. Since we were near the market area, we had chicken rice and shark porridge. The paddy field were plentiful and you won't be bored taking pictures.

Then we headed to N 16 Cafe. Recycled from the old-fashioned bus, the cafe offered good Honey Lemon with Pea flower. The girls loved it! While that, daddy and mummy settled for black coffee and instantly refreshed up. The cakes were superb especially blueberry cheese cake.

Later, we dropped by Seremeban for popo to purchase dumplings. Since we were around Daddy and Mummy settled for cendol and rojak while lil Princess had her snack biscuits.

What a contented day visiting different places , providing ample time for the girls to play!

Sushi and I

'Eat to live' most probably descibed my lil princess clearly. Food has been a part of a very important life. Today, her target was sushi! Like the Malay saying, ‘Frog in a Coconut Shell’ lil princess was so panicked when her maki move away in the belt. Gosh!!! Learning mummies- brief youe kids before bringing them to new places.

Cuti-cuti Malaysia - Port Dickson

Though she’s still not able to swim independently, this does not hinder my princess from swimming. After her cup stacking competition, we headed straight to Port Dickson (PD)

On the way, we stopped by Seremban Seafood Village for lunch. Lil’ princess loved her ginger stir fry venison and finished the whole plate of rice.

Now, tummy filled, continued our journey to PD. We were lucky when we were told that our room has been upgraded to Lexus Grand Villa instead of Lexus.

The girls were thrilled and enjoyed the buggy ride to the room. Located on the 2nd floor the girls rushed up and were fascinated with the spacious room and most of all the king size bed, that pre-occupied with lots of pillows.

Lil princess were running around to check out the bathroom and then the view, not forgetting to chit chat with Jie Jie.

Next, favourite part- exploring the place. Lil Princess and Jie Jie were thrilled when they found a indoor games centre where they had some machine games and interrupted daddy and mummy’s ping pong games.

Since the day is still young, we allowed the girls to swim in private swimming pool. Due to swimming, we were late for dinner and the wait was forever.....lil princess was frustrated because of hunger and exhausted.

After dinner, without delay, we put lil princess to sleep... instantly she fall to deep sleep.

A good night sleep helped lil princess to be active again. The next day, she was really for mini go-kart and mini train that go around the hotel. Not only that, lil princess was ready for the pool in a minute! She loved the playground in the pool and learning her swim move as well.
Soon, it was time to leave, lil princess was tired. After a full KFC meal, our princess was sleeping in the car while daddy drove us home.

Can’t wait for the next cuti-cuti Malaysia!
