It has been awhile we celebrated wedding outstation, some more of a close relative. We were thrilled when my cousin Vince announced his wedding plan in July and since then we have been make plans without the girls knowledge ( to avoid any overexcitement).
I’m pretty sure the girls has sensed something when we started to buy the new dresses, preparing souvenirs and packing. Finally, on 29 August the girls were filled with excitement when we told them that the very next morning we will journey out to Penang. Hmm.... isn’t this is more fun?
At 6am sharp, 2 cars ( my brother and we) were geared up for the journey. It took us 5 hours to reach Uncle John’s house and thanks to uncle’s hospitality we had a great feast of curry chicken, stewed pork, herbal stewed chicken feet, stir fry spinanch and smoked pork. Even Mei Mei had a second serving.
We spent a good whole 2 hours to exchange news and head to Uncle Paul’s residence (bridegroom’s father) to get the key to our homestay.
It has been a long day and what’s more to add to the plate- strong WIFI signal in the homestay! After a local delicacy dinner at the foodcourt, we called it a day. Can’t wait for the activities for tommorrow.

The beginning of Day 2:
Since we have visited Penang recently, we wanted this wedding trip to be more easy and relaxing. We have missed the Kek Lo Si Temple the last trip so this is a MUST destination.
The girls never bored to cross Penang Island via ferry. The girls never feel boted with this 15 minutes trip.

Soon, from the car park, Kek Lok Si, stand solid on the mountain above us. Expecting to show the girls the path up with souvenirs shops line up at the 2 sides of the path, has been demolished and replaced by inclined lift. Sadly, i have to accept that technology is eating into our lives deeper.
While waiting for the inclined lifts, surprisingly the girls were seated quietly. Guess the weather has not been kind to us. Eventhough we were indoor. We felt the heat creeping into our body and eating up our energy.
Cut the story short, we reached to the top and instantly looked for the pagoda which Mei Mei was not quite keen. Instead she choose her seating place among the flowers and under the shed and starts to take pictures.
As the weather was too hot, the girls looked tired and dehydrated, we decided to head back to our homestay to rest since we are attending Uncle Vince’s bachelor night dinner.
Day 3: The Wedding
