Babysitting the Girls!

As Zandra's babysitter is on vacation for a week, I'll have to babysit the girls for a whole week. Fortunately, in between we have Christmas, the weekends and New Year where I could get some external support from my aunties and mum, at least they could keep Zoe entertain while I keep a watchful eyes on Zandra.

So for today, with all the external support is gone, I'm with a demanding 4 year old toddler and an energetic 1 + baby under my care. Glad my Grandma is here so that I could but sometime to cook for the girls.(even though she's 83 years old but never underestimate ability)

It's sort of chaotic in the morning as I need to prepare lunch, bath the girls and put Zandra to sleep. So, while the baby is sleeping, I try to catch up with Zoe for the reading and some revision or homework as Zoe loved to called it, before the school re-opens. Also 15 mins LUNCH TIME!

Afternoon, here we go again, a repertoire of the morning chores. No wonder people says stay at home mum is a challenging job of all. It's a none stop work and with kids tugging to ensure they get what they demanded. So, this is my 1st day babysitting the girls since 1 year ago.

How do I feel? Even though it's exhausted but staying at home given me a break from traffic and workload stress. Let's see how's my day tomorrow.

Zandra Walking to Mummy

After 3 days training and without seeing the girls, the first thing I knew is that I'm rushing home and even before time, I can't wait and went straight to the babysitter and fetched Zandra back. She looked happy to see me, which I'm glad but the surprise is when Zandra walked to me for the first time! She waled straight into my arms and hug me closely. What's more a mother could ask for.

Mum was telling me that Zandra has just started with small steps and have not gone so far. So touched~

Zandra's 1st Birthday

1st Oct will be Zandra 1st birthday. Thinking back 1 year ago, It has been a roller coaster for us. At 2 weeks, Zandra was hospitalized for jaundice for a week. Then at 5 months Zandra again hospitalized for bronchitis and 3rd time. It's heart wrenching to see my baby inserted with line.

But today, on her 1st birthday she's a happy baby crawling around, enjoying every guests attention and loved the way she looked at her angry bird cake.

Happy Birthday, Baby!

Saturday with the Girls!

Most of my Saturdays was used to clear my pending task at work so that Sunday is a real Sabbath for me. Never do I have the chance to see how the girls spend their Saturdays.

We started the morning with Zoe ever first hip hop class. In the beginning, I was worried that Zoe will a difficult time adjusting to the new environment. But I was wrong. Zoe can immediately clicked with her classmates even they are more senior than her. Teacher Louie came in not long and she's a sweet young lady who is very patient with her young students. She then starts to coach  her students one by one. Glad that Zoe try the moves that Teacher Louie taught her.

So, we decided to bring the girls back to hometown so that they have a wider space to run around. Zoe was so happy to see her toys again ( we left some toys here for her) and start to explore with her toys.
Simple Activity is what the girls needed
Zandra on the other hand enjoys rolling on the floor and 'sharing' Kah Jie's toys. But little Zan looks cute when Daddy taught her how to hold the bottle while having her milk on Daddy's lap.

Quality time with Daddy and Kah Jie.

My First CNY Celebration

Zandra was admitted into hospital again. This time for lung infection. Zandra was having a bad cough and a fever that comes and go. It hurts to see my baby when doctor insert 'line' to her vein.

With all the injection, nebuliser and antibiotic, my baby is too exhausted to even return a smile to us. Daddy and I decided to stay with Zandra for the night even it means for both of us to share a single bed!

After a night, we did see some recovery. First of all, fever has subside but we still have to work on her cough, flu and diarrhea. No words could describe how glad we are when our baby starts to smile again.

Physically, Zandra is weak but emotionally we could feel that this baby is very strong. She wailed when injection was given but she stopped after the whole procedure finished.
We are proud of you!
