Bad luck Friday on Merdeka Eve

Daddy suddenly has the urge to have Klang Bak Kut Teh, so at 7.30 straight after work, the whole family drive to Klang but it was a disaster. Zandra became restless in the car, which we suspect that she's having a car sickness since the traffic is bad. After an hour, we were force to stop at the petrol station to bring her down for a walk though we're only 2 mins from our destination. Poor girl she was trying to open the whole and wailing non stop.

That's not all, when we reached the restaurant, they have no more food for us as there's a water supply cut. Some hawkers nervy only do take sways so no choice we have to settle for any food available. Luckily there's satay store there or else Zoe will have to eat white rice only.

After dinner we reached home at 10.30. Zoe was disappointed as we promised her after dinner she can play at the playground in Bukit Tinggi. But it was too late after dinner and the girls are exhausted after along drive. Our learning, the girls are not ready for a long drive, so LEGOLAND has to wait unless we spend a night in Malacca.

Zandra Admitted for Surgery!

Day 1 in Hospital

This is the fifth day since Zandra had the pimple like on the neck. We were quite worried about Zandra as the 5 days of antibiotics did not work but the neck area is swollen by now. Not only that, little Zan had no appetite to eat and only have soups throughout the day.

Because of this, we brought Zandra to paedetrician for a second opinion. Immediately, doctor issue admission letter to admit Zandra since antibiotics did not work. We were quite reluctant to put the little girl through the experience again but doctor expression worried us. 

We went home and packed some stuff and calm down Zoe who broke down when she heard Mei Mei is going to hospital.

When we reached the emergency team was notified of Zandra admission. Poor Zandra, this time she must put IV line and sympathy her. After all the struggling ,  Zandra was fast to fall asleep in the ward. Hubby went home to get more stuff and to ensure Zoe is well taken off 

Day 2 in Hospital

Ultrasound early in the morning. Dr Tan, the ENT specialist came to check on Zandra and instantly advice on surgery to remove pust from the neck a requested CT Scan to have a better view on the pust. This is to check if the pust has affected any nerve area. Again, I carry Zandra down to the scan room. Thank God hubby had arrived together with mum and Zoe. At least there were more familiar faces whom we're close to Zandra. During the CT Scan, Zandra woke up twice and no choice have to put sedative. My poor girl. After all this hectic activities Zandra fall asleep instantly.

Day 3 in Hospital

Hubby went to work while I woke up early to have a light breakfast and prepare Zandra for her surgery. I was not sleeping well the last night as I need tk wake up at 3.30 to give Zandra her last feed before the surgery. 

Again, carrying Zandra down to the operation theatre was not easy. My heart goes to little Zan though she is a tough girl. Zandra was crying loudly when the doctor was giving her the anaestatics. Then I was brought to the waiting room and I can't stop praying for the success of the operation. The operation toom only 20 minutes, where later in, I was brought to the recovery room to accompany Zandra. The little girl was sleeping soundly. 1/2 hour later, we woke Zandra. Luckily the little girl woke up and instantly became active. She has the apetitie to eat soon after the operation and we were relieved. Hubby camp over after sending Zoe to her ballet class. I'm so touched when he bought me supper and decided to stay back to care for Zandra while I could catch up with my sleep tonight.

Day 4 - Hubby took over to look after Zandra while I went home to send Zoe to tuition. After her tuition, I fetched mum and Zoe to spend the afternoon with Zandra in the hospital. 

Day 5 - Hubby reached hospital early so that I could settle some stuff at home. Both of us today spend the day with Zandra. Hubby took a ride home when Ah Bu came to visit Zandra. And now Zandra sleep soundly. It's now time I sleep . Good night~

Day 6 - Today is my turn to bring Zandra for her dressing. When reached treatment room, Zandra starts to wail and reluctant to sleep down. Seeing the procedure, my heart goes to the little girl who has to go through such painful procedure. Though we will be checking out today, but still need to bring Zandra back for the dressing procedure.

15 Aug 2014 - We don't really have enough sleep the night before as we have to give last feed to Zandra before 2am as she needs to fast for stitches. Since she is a toddler, doctor had to induce general anaestatics. With the previous experience, Zandra developed phobia of operation theatre and recovery room. She wailed and wailed until she is released from the OT and rest in the ward. My poor girl, Mummy is praying hard that you won't go through this bad experience again.

Yeah! Finally a week break" cheered Mummy. Actually, the girls do not know that they are going to have a week long of holiday, so when Mummy took out all their homework and make them finish it as soon as possible, Zoe realized that they will have holidays and Daddy and Mummy have plans for them. That's why she got little Zan to do homework with her!
