A Different 2020 X'mas

X'mas is different this year due to CMCO. Everything seems to slowdown and our family especially has been very cautious in bringing the girls out. Therefore, when Zan was out she's like FREEDOM.

This year we are turning our house into fancy restaurant. The kids have their own table for X'mas Eve dinner. Look at the spread! Most of the dishes are Zan's favourite such as fried chicken, pizzas, stir-fry broccoli and roast pork compliment with fries, mashed potato and honey biscuits from Texas Chicken.

It's really a feast for Zan as she got her one glass of Pepsi (which is a luxury as she only get to drink carbonated drink once a year). The girls were given a lenient to go to bed at 11.30pm and frankly, by that time, they were exhausted.

How I live through CMCO by Zandra Kwah

In the last quarter of the year of 2020, Malaysia was once again being under Conditional Movements Controlled Orders (CMCO) due to increase in Covid-19 cases. My family and I were stranded at home.

My sister and I was kept busy with online classes but only staying at home all the time. I felt bored because I was stuck at home. That’s nothing much I can do.

I felt bored to death. I really wanted to go outside because I never go out for a long time. Then I have an idea!

We decided to play roller skate at the corridor, it was a long and straight path, and so it is suitable for us beginners to practice our roller skates skills. This is the first time we are getting out of the house since 2 months ago. I felt excited because we can finally go outside.

I felt good to take a break outside. I never felt so bad being locked at home. I hope that Covid-19 can leave us soon.

What I've learned during MCO. By Zandra Kwah

During Covid-19, I can't go to school, can't meet my friends or  go swimming. I AM STUCK AT HOME!!! Teacher let us do google classroom. So, I have learned google classroom during MCO. Google classroom is a free web service which students can study and teacher can teach in the google classroom instead of going to school.

Teacher requested us to google classroom during MCO and school were closed. That is how I was exposed to google classroom. I can do quiz, do homework and watch YouTube.

I like google classroom because it is fun and interesting, but I like going to school best. It is hard work but I never give up.

Now,  I also miss my lovely friends and my dearest teachers, so I wish to go to school and hope that this Covid-19 would go away.

I prefer going to school than do google classroom because I can see my friends and teachers again.

My activities at home during MCO

I used to be free to go everywhere but now we have limited movement at home since 18 March 2020 and now extended to 28 April 2020. Some of the activities I did during the lockdown.
1. Board games
Initially, we have only board games in hand, so board games we played.  We started to play Monopoly and snake and ladder. At first we were having fun but later on I had to explore more activities at home.
2. Reading
Yes! I’m surprised too when reading become one of the activities.  I’m sure you can guess I’m not a book fan like my sister. Can you guess which my favourite book is? I bet you can’t. It’s Harry Potter.  It’s all about Harry. I really like it because it’s interesting.
3. Cup Stacking

Besides that, I practised my cup stacking with coach online. I felt lucky to play cup stacking with my dearest coach though it was a bit tiring standing for an hour.
4. Google Classroom
Can anyone tell me what that is? During the lockdown I was just being thrown into the web (I mean website) to do homework. Got a lot of nagging from my mom as she had to be there every time I signed in.
Fortunately, I’m good in this now. Teachers gave us lots of homework. I felt glad because teachers want to see some improvement in us. I’m diligent in doing my homework online.
As we have to be continued staying home, let’s hope that I could do more activities. I’m tired and so off to bed now. Talk later.
