Celebrating Christmas 2017

With the cruise and spring cleaning, we decided to have  a more relaxed celebration. We were back to Swmenyih on 23 Dec which is a Saturday.  The girls setup the Christmas tree, watched some movies and played hide and seek. On the other hand, Daddy and I do some laundry and groceries shopping. Both Daddy and I were bored as we have not brough back any movies so we went out early to get some movies and got some drinking water.

Setting up yearly tradition

24 Dec - The girls woke up early in the morning. We have a good laugh when Zandra woke Audrey up in no time! Normally my niece will only wake up after several calls.

We had a good breakfast at the nearby village before hubby and I ventured out to explore Semenyih.

We drove out to KL to have Christmas Eve dinner with Yi Yi and her family.

Jalan-Jalan to Ikea

11 Dec 2017 - Today is a public holiday and since Mummy is free today,  we decided to get some cabinets from Ikea to keep the girls trophies before Daddy decided to store it inside one of the boxes.

Zandra was lucky as she was able to go into the playground as she's still under the maximum height.

Getting ready to play!
While Zandra was playing, we brought Zoe with her so that we could buy her a present.

We quickly got our cabinets and settled Zoe in Ikea foodcourt for a lunch of meatballs, chicken wings and for Zoe chocolate muffins ( she can finished 2 muffins and a chicken wing). After fetchinc Zandra from her play, we make our way to the cashier.

Annual Vacation - Cruise

This year we decided to bring the girls to cruise, thinking we could spend more time relaxing and enjoying the sea.

Family welfie at the jetty

Our cabin - definitely the upper deck were for us and girls to sleep at the lower deck

Day 1: The beginning of the adventure
We had dim sum in the morning before 'grabbing to Boustead Cruise Center to board. The girls were good even though we have to run up and down due to a lack of communication of the center. Amidst the hiccups, we finally boarded. After unloading in our room, we rushed for lunch before the restaurant closed for break. Zandra finished half the seabass and 2 buns before we settled back into our cabin to rest.

Seabass is Zandra's main dish

After lunch, we took our life jackets for a compulsory drill. Zan was enjoying the drill until we were brought to the lifeboat deck. It was hot and stuffy. This was when Zan got cranky and quickly got her out of the life jacket.

Day 2: Reaching Phuket
Though it was difficult to wake Zandra, but in the end my little Princess woke up at 8am. Brought her to a Western-style breakfast, where she enjoyed her omelet, sausages and never forget her hot lemon tea to keep the flu away.

Learning the art of dining

At the same time, The Captain of the cruise was having his breakfast as well and we took the opportunity to take a picture with him.

After a hearty breakfast, Zandra can't wait to join Zoe for a dance lesson on the deck and also in the main foyer.

Line dancing and hip hop

Since we are reaching Phuket in the evening, we let the girls go loose at the swimming pool. Moving at 20 knots per hour, it created ample waves for the girls.

Finally, after 2 hours of queeing and waiting, we boarded the ferry that will bring us to Patong Beach.

Going to Patong Beach

The waiting was exhausting that Zandra slept on the bus and got agitated when we woke her up, so decided to get her some snacks to soothe her.

Coconut juice to soothe her irratation

Now, my princess is ready for some sighseeing

Next destination will be the temple where we continued with our food feast. We have skipped lunch to queue up for ferry.

As usual the day tour will included a local snack factory and this time is the cashew nuts. Zandra sample most of the nuts and dried mangoes.

Continue eating in the bus

Making themselves comfy in the bus

We were back to the cruise at 10.30pm and the girls were really exhausted. Good night!

Day 3: Exploring the cruise
After a good night sleep, Zandra was awaken for her breakfast which she has selected the baked beans, fries and this time sunny side up for her egg.

Can't live without egg
Then continued with the swimming quest.

After the hearty swim, we are ready for another ferry queue to Penang and to go through immigration. It was all sweat and hunger with the wait.

Once we were back at the cruise, we quickly brought the gira to dinner before proceeding to Magic Show by James Long.

Waiting for show to start

Day 4: Final day in the cruise
Today will be the last day in the cruise. The girls were tired but wouldn't want to miss anything.

The girls with the medal for dancing

In the morning, the girls were energised after a good night sleep and ready for thr dance after dim sum breakfast for Zoe and Western style for Zandra. I was sure that Zan would
love to have her eggs , sausages and baked beans.

After the dance competition, we have a good laugh with Master Q and gang. Not sure how much do the girls understand since they speak In Cantonese.

With cruise like this, never forgetting the family potrait.
